Valerie handles all areas of civil litigation for both Plaintiffs and Defendants including personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, municipality law, commercial disputes, contract drafting and negotiations, real estate transactions, insurance coverage opinions, sports and entertainment law and civil rights/LGBTQ actions.

Prior to joining The Katsorhis Law Firm, Valerie was a member of the General Liability Litigation Practice Group at her former NYC firm where she focused her practice in the areas of complex litigation representing Fortune 500 companies, insurers and their insureds. Ms. Katsorhis defended clients in mass tort litigation and served as a senior member of the defense team for the World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigation in the Southern District of New York, representing building owners, tenants, environmental companies and construction companies in actions filed by thousands of clean-up and asbestos abatement workers who allegedly developed illnesses as a result of exposure to nanoparticles, heavy metals, asbestos, dust, fuel oil and other toxins at and around Ground Zero.

Ms. Katsorhis defended corporations in complex environmental lawsuits involving property contamination and remediation. Additionally, Ms. Katsorhis also handled the full range of litigation, including discovery, mediation, arbitration and trials. Ms. Katsorhis defended corporations in negligence claims involving premises liability; bodily injury and property damage litigation from motor vehicle accidents and she has also litigated insurance coverage claims.

Valerie has presented on Motor Vehicle Defense in New York State, providing her audience with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Continuing Education (CE) certified credits.

Ms. Katsorhis is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Ms. Katsorhis has received numerous honors for her dedication to the practice of law including having been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the New York Metropolitan Area for the years 2014-2018 as well as having been recognized by the New York Times for her selection to the Top Women Attorneys in the New York Metro Area for the years 2015-2019.
