Professional Career

Mr. Taunton began working at Taunton Snyder and Parish in 1983. He has been the Managing Partner of the firm since 1997. In his 37 years with the firm, Mr. Taunton has extensive trial experience to juries across Texas. Mr. Taunton’s practice focuses on Environmental, Toxic Tort, Products Liability, Premises Liability, Construction Defects, Intellectual Property and General Civil Litigation. While Mr. Taunton focuses on complex litigation issues in a wide variety of areas, he prides himself on being a trial lawyer first and foremost. He routinely litigates cases involving all aspects of general negligence, insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, excess and re-insurance, premises liability, auto/truck industry, construction defect, products liability, land use and construction law, professional liability, oil and gas, maritime law (blue and brown water), labor law, petrochemical, longshoreman and harbor workers act, outer continental shelf lands act, Jones act, successor liability, products liability, workers compensation, and wrongful death. He has handled high-profile, high exposure cases in a wide variety of jurisdictions and venues. Moreover, he has arbitrated several high profile cases.
