Bio

Attorney Jessica M. Butler was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Attorney Butler attended Morse Middle School for the Gifted and Talented, and Rufus King High School. She graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bacherlor of Arts in 2006. She then attended University of Wisconsin-Madison for Law School where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2009.

Attorney Butler began her practice of law with her primary focus on general civil litigation working for both plaintiffs and defendants. Her past experience includes business litigation, landlord/tenant, criminal, municipal, worker's compensation, personal injury, premises liability, collection and construction litigation. She now specializes in plaintiff's side personal injury litigation with Gruber Law Offices.

Attorney Butler was the 2017-2018 President of the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Association for Justice and Dominican Center. She also sits on the Milwaukee Bar Association's Courts Committee and the State of Wisconsin Bar Association's Professional Ethics Committee. She is an author for the State Bar of Wisconsin Pinnacle series book, The Law of Damages in Wisconsin. In 2018 she was selected as The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40. Attorney Butler has two young daughters and spends much of her free time at school sports events.
