Bio

Christopher C. Walton is the founder of Walton Law, APC, an award-winning law firm with offices located in San Diego and Temecula Valley. After spending several years defending insurance companies in personal injury matters, he now dedicates his practice exclusively to helping victims of elder abuse and those who have suffered catastrophic injuries due to the negligent or intentional acts of others.

Since opening the doors to his firm, Chris has earned numerous awards for his advocacy on behalf of his clients. Since 2013, he has been selected to the Super Lawyers list each year, an honor only 5% of lawyers receive. In 2013 & 2014, The San Diego Daily Transcript listed Chris as a Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney. He was also listed in San Diego Business Journal’s Best of the Bar. Chris maintains the highest rating of 10.0 with Avvo, and has been awarded the Clients’ Choice Award multiple years.

Chris remains very active volunteering his time in the legal community. In 2020, Chris will serve as President-Elect for Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. From 2011 to 2012, he was elected by his peers to serve as Co-Chair of the Elder Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association. In 2012, he assisted Professor Robert Seibel in launching the Access to Law Initiative (ALI), a project aimed at bringing affordable and pro bono legal service to members of our community in need. In less than one year, ALI became a model for similar programs all over the country. Chris volunteers his time with the Service Members Civil Relief Act, protecting the legal rights of members of the U.S. military while they are deployed. He also enjoys volunteering his time to mentor law students through the Mentorship Program at California Western School of Law.

Chris earned his B.A. from Western Washington University, where he was listed on the President’s Honor List. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law where he graduated cum laude. While attending California Western, he was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for superior academic achievement and the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in Trial Practice, Advanced Mediation Advocacy and his Clinical Internship. In his final year at California Western, he won an Environmental Law Negotiation Competition and was selected to compete nationally on behalf of the law school.

Chris is currently a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, North County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, Consumer Attorneys of California, American Association for Justice. He is admitted to practice law in the State of California and in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California.
