Bio

Adam Greene is a partner at the Steinberg Law Firm. Adam focuses on workers’ compensation, personal injury, longshore and harbor workers’ injuries, and Social Security disability law. His unique background in practicing workers’ compensation defense law and representing insurance companies is a tremendous asset now when he works on behalf of those injured on the job or due to someone else’s negligence.

After spending several years defending insurance carriers, employers, third-party administrators, and self-insured entities, Adam has gained unique experience within the workers’ compensation system. Throughout his tenure as a defense attorney, he served as counsel on the catastrophic injury/major case unit for multiple insurance carriers, which gave him a valuable perspective on how complex claims and their administration are handled from the other side. He understands the tactics and strategies that insurance carriers, employers, and their lawyers use to minimize or deny benefits to injured workers.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, Adam began his legal career at a regional defense law firm in the Charleston area. He has been repeatedly recognized in editions of South Carolina Business Magazine’s Legal Elite. He was also selected for 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University in 2014, Adam attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. While there, he consistently made the Dean’s List and served as an Associate Symposium Editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. During his undergraduate and law school years, Adam held summer internships as a legislative intern with the U.S. House of Representatives and as a judicial law clerk with the Richland County Judicial Center.

Growing up, Adam was often encouraged to pursue a career in law due to his strong communication skills and natural ability to make a point. He enjoyed reading and writing in school and quickly thrived in law school. His favorite class was torts. Having grown up in a textile-producing and manufacturing region of South Carolina, Adam frequently witnessed the toll a work injury took not only on the injured individual but also on their family. These experiences helped shape his career in workers’ compensation law. His passion is to have the opportunity to make a difference in injured workers’ lives—whether by securing necessary medical treatment or obtaining monetary compensation.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, or simply spending time with his wife, two sons, and their dog, Judge.
