Bio

George K. “Buzzy” Anding, Jr., is a Louisiana native with extensive legal experience in its courts, both state and federal.  Mr. Anding received a B.S. in Business Administration from La. Tech University in 1972, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society and Sigma Tau Delta English honor society.  He received his J.D. degree from LSU in 1974, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board.  Following law school, Mr. Anding served as law clerk to Hon. E. Gordon West, United States District Judge for the Middle District of Louisiana, before entering private practice as a member of the firm of Watson, Blanche, Wilson & Posner in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  In 1983, he formed a new law firm with Bob Rainer, which has evolved through the years into the present firm of Rainer Anding & Talbot.  In addition to being a member of numerous civic and professional organizations, Mr. Anding also served as President of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and President of the Board of Directors of the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center.  Mr. Anding has over 40 years of experience in medical malpractice litigation, having represented health care providers and served as attorney chairman of medical review panels in the early years of his practice, before devoting his time exclusively to the pursuit and litigation of plaintiffs’ claims since 1983.  He has achieved board certification in Medical Professional Liability by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys.  Mr. Anding is also Chancellor of the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, serving in that role as legal advisor to both the conference and its resident Bishop.
